Back-to-School Office Hours

Dear Westview Students and Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are enjoying the summer. We are excited that you are a part of the Westview community.

As we start the 2026-2027 school year, you should receive a mailing in the next week containing back-to-school information, including our modified bell schedule, athletics and much more. We appreciate you taking the time to complete the yearly updates, even if your information has not changed.

To ensure accurate and timely communication, all updates and tasks are ONLINE. Westview will also hold office hours on Thursday, August 6th 12:00PM – 2:00PM and 4:00PM – 6:00PM. This time is set aside for anyone needing access to technology or need to complete some of the tasks in person. During office hours, students can get help troubleshooting their iPads, new students to Westview can tour the school, and students new to OPS can pick up their school-issued iPads.

Counselors will also hold office hours on August 6 from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM for students who need a schedule change due to a missing or misplaced class, a credit that was recovered during Next Level Learning, or a graduation requirement.  Student Portal access will be available on August 6.

All parents are asked to create a Campus Parent account if they do not already have one. Campus Parent is essential for accessing school announcements, coursework, grades, attendance, and more. The district will email an “easy link” to primary households that do not currently have a Campus Parent account on July 31st. The link allows families to bypass an activation code when setting up a Campus Parent account. A Campus Parent account is needed to complete the annual updates of student information.

As you review the information in the mailing, please use the linked online sites to complete yearly updates and tasks. You can also refer to the OPS 2026-2027 Back-to-School Guide for additional information.

  • Log into Campus Parent to complete the Annual Update to verify that all information is accurate, as well as complete the media release and PreACT/ACT educational consent forms.
  • Complete a Free and Reduced Lunch Application. Free lunch for all students is no longer available at Westview. A paper version is included in the mailing and can be returned during August 6th office hours or any time.
  • Purchase yearly device protection insurance for your iPad through SchoolCash Online. The cost is $20.
  • Purchase yearbook at yearbookforever.com. The cost is $50.
  • Purchase parking permit for $25 through SchoolCash Online and then pick up the permit and complete the vehicle form (make/model and plate #) during office hours.
  • Student athletes must complete an athletic participation packet. All packets and physical exams need to be turned in by August 10 if students are participating in a fall sport. Additional information can be found at OPS Athletics Participation Information.
  • Speak with the school nurse during office hours to discuss health and medication questions.
  • Join or support the Westview Crew PTO.
  • Visit the online school store at https://westviewhighschool.hurrdatbrandgoods.com/ to purchase Westview swag. The school store will also be open during office hours with new apparel designs.
  • Families who would like to pay for any items by cash or check, please visit during office hours on August 6.
  • School pictures will be taken on August 21, 2026, during English classes.

Please make sure the latest software update is installed on school-issued iPads. This will ensure that all apps and programs are working properly for the first day of school.

School begins for Freshman on Wednesday, August 19that 7:40 AM.

School begins for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors on Thursday, August 20th at 7:40 AM.
